Rooted in the classic aesthetic of the Cotswold countryside, Pawcroft creates premium full-grain leather dog collars and leads made for everyday life outdoors. Handcrafted from supple, full-grain leather that develops a rich natural patina over time, every piece is made to be enjoyed on every walk. Every Pawcroft collar and lead is handmade in a small artisan workshop established in 1997, where a team of seven experienced women artisans continue a tradition of leather-working passed down through generations.
Each piece requires careful leather preparation, cutting, shaping, assembly, edge finishing, hardware fitting and final inspection. The entire process takes approximately three to four weeks.
That human craftsmanship matters. Our handmade dog accessories are designed to be judged not only by appearance, but by the quality of their materials, construction, hardware and finishing—all contributing to how they feel and perform over time.
Quality is built into every Pawcroft piece, with each collar and lead individually checked for leather quality, stitching, hardware and finish. Our low-carbon steel D-rings and antique brass-finished hardware complement the natural character of the leather. Independent Eurofins BLC testing has also confirmed compliance with applicable EU REACH requirements.
Why We Choose Full-Grain Leather
We use premium full-grain leather sourced from a specialist tannery in León.
Full-grain leather retains the natural surface of the hide rather than having its character heavily corrected or covered. We choose it for its strength, feel and, importantly, the way it changes with use.
With appropriate care, the leather develops its own patina. Slight variations in tone and character are therefore not something we try to hide. They are part of working with a natural material.
